Music Marketing Project part 1


                                           Choosing Our Song and Creating The Video Idea

    For our music marketing project we received the miscellaneous folder. This folder contained a variety of different genres from different time periods. After a long discussion deciding which song to choose we went with a soul song. As a group, we decided this song would be the best fit, to market and create a music video for. We threw around many ideas for our music video, until we came to a final decision that it would make a good romantic video that can be filmed throughout our community. 
    The video is going to be a storytelling video consisting of 2 main characters. One being the artist of the song "LIVN". It is a love song, and the video will display that. While LIVN and his love interest go about town on dates, the music video displays them happy and inlove. They will be seen getting ready together, going to the store together, driving together ect. What the Audience will not know is that this is all a memory that LIVN is still imagining. Towards the end of the video they will be walking to a picnic spot and a shot of the two together will be shown. The next shot will be LIVN alone laying in the same spot, but his love interest's grave will be shown right next to him. This will be a major plot twist, but the storyline will fit the song. 
                                                            Marketing Campaign 
    For our market campaign we decided to take many different routes. First, we are creating an Instagram and tiktok page to promote our artist LIVN. Along with those social media platforms, we also created a website where the artist will market his shows, merchandise, and music video. We feel that these resources will be key to contacting and creating a fan base for the artist. Our artist will also be collaborating with big companies to gain more exposure, and connect with the fan base. One of these companies will be Converse. LIVN is obsessed with shoes and his collection, so we feel that working together with a company that creates some of his favorite products will build a more personal connection to his merch and his fans. LIVN will release hoodies, shirts, hats and other popular forms of merchandise. He will also have a surprise march store pop up with a performance the night his first single is released. This will be at Weston town center where part of his video is filmed. The video will be streamed with the artist there after his show.
